Getting started with Daily Grand

Each play is $3 and gives you five main numbers from 1 to 49 plus one Grand Number from 1 to 7. The optional Extra add-on is $1 per play.

Pick five main numbers and one Grand Number yourself on the How to Play page, or use Quick Pick to fill the grid. Continue saves your line; you review the game, draw, numbers, Extra and total ahead of payment, and you get a ticket ID once BCLC's central gaming system registers it.

It is a separate number from 1 to 7 that you pick alongside your five main numbers. Matching it is what unlocks the top prize tier, and matching it on its own still wins a Free Play.

Extra is an optional $1 add-on bought with an eligible game; it appears on your order as its own entry. Its four numbers (1–99) are assigned automatically. Prizes: 4 of 4 $500,000, 3 of 4 $1,000, 2 of 4 $10, 1 of 4 $1. You never need it to play Daily Grand.

If your line matches the Grand Number but none of the five main numbers (0 + Grand), you win a Free Play. It is automatically entered as a line for the following draw.

Draw times, winnings and probabilities

Every Monday and Thursday, shortly after 7:30 PM Pacific Time. Online sales close at 7:21 PM PT on draw days.

Buy your line before 7:21 PM PT on a draw day to be in that night's draw. Anything bought after the cut-off goes into the upcoming draw.

There are nine prize tiers, including a Free Play for matching only the Grand Number. The top two are for life: $1,000 a day for 5 + Grand Number, and $25,000 a year for 5 main numbers without it. Two main numbers without the Grand Number do not win a prize.

Yes. The grand prize can be taken as a single $7,000,000 payment instead of $1,000 a day for life, and the second prize as $500,000 instead of $25,000 a year. The choice is final and cannot be reversed. Where more than one ticket wins that same for-life tier, the cash payout is the only option. The for-life annuities are guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years; if the winner dies inside that period the balance goes to their beneficiary or estate.

The overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 6.8 per $3 play, but about 90% of those wins are a Free Play or $4. The odds of the grand prize are 1 in 13,348,188. See the full prize chart on How to Play.

It depends on where you bought the ticket and the amount. Online: up to $9,999.99 is credited automatically where the payment system supports it; $10,000 to $24,999.99 goes through a separate validation; $25,000 and over needs a prize claim. Retail tickets are redeemed at a retailer, a BCLC prize payout location or a BCLC office. For-life prizes always follow the for-life claim process. See How to claim a prize.
