Pacific Hold'Em Poker
Top prizeShared prize pool and a Bad Beat Jackpot
A new poker-style draw every few minutes
Pacific Hold'Em Poker is B.C.'s poker-themed lottery, not an online poker room. A $2 ticket gives you a two-card hand, which is combined with five community cards and played against on-screen hands. Draws run every six minutes through the day. It is sold at participating bars and pubs (and some casinos) only — not online.
How Pacific Hold'Em Poker works: three steps
Buy a $2 hand
You get a two-card hand. You can raise your bet to $4, $6, $8 or $10.
A draw every 6 minutes
Draws run from about 11:02 AM to 2:00 AM Pacific Time.
Beat the table
Your best five-card hand must use at least one of your own two cards (except for the Prize B category). Beat every on-screen hand to win — a tie with an on-screen hand counts as a loss.
Ways to win
| Match | Prize (CAD) |
|---|---|
| Beat all opponents | A share of the prize pot for that draw |
| Best Hand in Province | Awarded only if no Prize A is won in that draw — to the ticket holder with the top overall hand within British Columbia |
| Bad Beat Jackpot | A separate progressive jackpot that grows until it is won |
Key rules: your hand must use at least one of your own two Pocket Cards (except for Prize B); a tie with an on-screen hand is a loss; tied ticket holders split the prize pool evenly. Read the full official rules prior to playing.
The prize pot for each draw depends on how many hands are in play. Prizes and rules follow the published game conditions — read the current Pacific Hold'Em Poker Game Conditions .
